Tate Students To Take Part In CANstruction Event Downtown

October 18, 2013

Manna Food Pantries and the American Institute of Architects (AIA) of Northwest Florida present the Sixth Annual CANstruction design and build event at downtown Pensacola’s
Gallery Night celebration tonight.   New to this year’s event will be Junior CANstruction that will include Tate High School.

Six Pensacola firms are presenting a CANstructure in this year’s event. All structures will be located at Artel Gallery.

“We appreciate AIA and the participating firms and schools for their partnership with Manna to feed the hungry in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties. Over the years, CANstruction has raised over 51,000 pounds of food for those in need,” said DeDe Flounlacker, Manna executive director. “Last year, Manna provided food to 44,209 people. Events like CANstruction help raise much needed donated food for the hungry.”
