I’m not accusing anyone of anything but sounds to me like they are catering to Navy Federal on Nine Mile Road.
By their employees, trucks, and business associates exiting off Interstate 10, they will have 4 lane all the way to work.
Navy Federal just recently bought the 4-H land acreage also adjoining their current owned land..
    Think about it.

If the “powers-that-be” decide to also 4-lane from Hwy 29 to Pine Forest, strong consideration must be given to additional traffic signals on Nine Mile (possibly @ Stefani intersection). It is difficult and dangerous at certain times of the day to attempt to turn EAST onto Nine Mile when leaving the Milestone subdivision with just 2 lanes now.

Four lane 9 mile between 29 and Pineforest Rd.I lived on 9 Mile Rd most of my life. My dad gave up land to the state in the 40’s for the right of way. With all the taxpayer money they have spent on surveying They could have four lane 9 Mile Rd. all the way to the interstate years ago.

I haven’t heard of any plans to widen 9 Mile from 29 to Pine Forest, only this one from Pine Forest to Mobile Highway.

29 to Pine Forest needs it more than Pine Forest to Mobile Highway and it would be cheaper.

You have got to be kidding… The state of Florida, Bought the Land to widen 9mile rd, from hwy 29 to Pine forest rd. 60 years ago….Check the records…There 22,000 cars a day (per 2000 data) 13 years later I know it is greatly increased…Is this a political move because of Wal-mart going in?

@ Ronald. I totally agree! It’s a nightmare traveling 9 Mile Rd between those two 2 locations.
