“Gallery Night” Held In Century

October 2, 2013

A “Gallery Night” was held recently in Century.

The Century Care Center hosted the first-ever event for the town, featuring artistic creations by Century Care residents. Staff and family members were also encouraged to bring their own artistic creations for display.

Items on display included paintings, colorings, handcrafted items, pottery and more.

Shawn I am so proud to call you my brother. Your work has definitely inspired many. Can’t wait to see what else life brings your way with such an amazing talent.

My experience at this art gallery was so inspiring. I hate I didn’t get to stay long enough to talk with all these wonderful people that still have hope and inspirations. A big “THANK YOU” for all the staff and everyone else who had a part in this wonderful “appreciation” event for all these inspiring people. A special ” Thank you, Shawn Ray Rudd” for what you have brought out in these people in everyway that’s matters. I know you were too busy to give the personal attention to everyone you talked with and I’m sure you will as time permits. But to the young lady that I assumed works there, your advise and attention seem to really mean a lot to her. I hope you get to talk with her one and one later. Keep up the good work, SHAWN and everyone else.

I really enjoyed this and it was great to meet Shawn Rudd doing a live painting and to see all the paintings by the residents who attend his monthly class, he such a nice and talented young man. Kudos to all!

Some beautiful things displayed. I think this is great that they get to show off their talents. I wonder if they thought about letting them make things to sell I may be a little prejudice, but this nursing home is so nice and always have something going on for the residents.
