Mary Virginia Phillips Ealy Dorman

Mary Virginia Phillips Ealy Dorman, age 86, died peacefully on September 1, 2013.  Mary was born October 11, 1926, in Atmore, and is the daughter of Della Walker Phillips Albritton and Joseph Thomas Phillips.

Mary was a born again Christian and now resides in her heavenly home.

Mary grew up in Poarch and is a member of the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.  She lived many years in the Pensacola area; however, she returned home to Poarch in 2009 where she lived until becoming a resident of the Century Care Nursing Home in Century in 2012.

Family was the center of Mary’s life.  She is survived by her three sisters, Emma Cleo Phillips Keating, Pauline J. Phillips Parker and Patricia Ann Albritton Smillie; three sons, Phillip Loyd Ealy of Pensacola, Roy Edward Ealy of Milton, and Jessie Allen Dorman of Poarch; five daughters, Joann Ealy Deriemacker of Pensacola, Virginia Kay Ealy Simmons of Poarch, Odessa Lynn Dorman Woodcock of Poarch, Paula Denise Dorman Clemens of Poarch and Carrie Sue Dorman Henry of Pensacola.  Mary is also survived by twenty-one grandchildren, thirty-seven great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

The visitation will be Wednesday, September 4 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Faith Chapel North in Cantonment.

The funeral will be conducted from the chapel of Faith Chapel North on Thursday, September 5, at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow in Clopton Cemetery  in Pensacola.

Faith Chapel North has been entrusted with arrangements.
