….But did you see the band? Rock on Jay! (by the way…what are all those football players doing on the band field anyway?) Just sayin……Naw just kidding….WHAT A GREAT GAME! We were on our feet most of the time! Go Royals!

Yep, he’s right, there was an exception to the classification rule and it was Coach Bell’s brain child. A few “O” and whatever seasons later and Coach Bell is gone. But as long as Jay continues to run the ball up the middle EVERY play Coach Bell’s legacy will live on in the Jay football program. Bell ran the ball up the middle for 25 years and that’s what the Royals are still doing today. That offense is not likely to prove successful for them. Northview will win district because we are the best team in the district. Baker will finish 2nd in district followed by Jay then the rebuilding program of Freeport. By the way, Coach Wheatley took over as head coach in ‘09, we won the state championship in ‘12.

    >>>Northview should be in the same division as Marianna and we’ve already seen what happens………….

Here’s the funny thing about these Jay fan’s arguements, knowing in advance they will be crushed by the Northview Chiefs in football.

The Rural Division (1A) was the baby of former Jay Coach Elijah Bell. He was good with the idea of playing Northview.

No one from Jay makes this arguement when Jay is beating Northview in baseball or softball.

It’s an arguement of convenience for Jay fans. And guess what? If you did beat Northview, you’ll go on to be pummeled by Chipley in the regionals, a school just a little bit bigger than Northview.

“Class of Champions”, no disrespect, but”“Northview being bigger than everybody else” if they are suppose to be a 3a they would be a 3a. ” is wrong. There was a loophole the FHSAA allowed when making the new rural division, they needed a certain number of schools to create the new division. If you were in a rural area(Northview), you could join if no smaller schools requested the spots. Northview should be in the same division as Marianna and we’ve already seen what happens………….

“Northview being bigger than everybody else” if they are suppose to be a 3a they would be a 3a. But even if they were does that have anything to do with jay at least having a winning season?
Northview and jay may actually be a good game this year, unlike the last 3. But northview will win.

No that’s what happens when you play a school of your on size! Even if FHSSA says you can play with the little schools.you get your butt whooped Northview.

Sure, Northview will probably beat Jay in a head’s up match. Too bad they’re in the same district. If you go purely by school size, Northview would be a 3A or 4A school and not be in the same district as Jay. The “rural division” had a certain number of slots for schools to join, so Northview got in even though they are much larger. Not sure about Baker, but with north Okaloosa’s population boom, they probably are larger than most “rural division” schools also. Put Northview and Baker in their true districts and see how that plays out for them.

Jay certainly can’t handle Northview, that will be a district game and Northview will beat Jay by at least 40 easily. Baker will beat Jay by 42. 3-0 is short lived. But enjoy it while it lasts royals
