Deputies Seek Two For Questioning In 14 Year Old’s Murder

September 21, 2013

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two people for questioning in connection with the Thursday night shooting death of 14-year old Kenteyonna Anderson on West Maxwell Street.

Investigators are looking for 23-year old Jaquest Norris and 21-year-old Juvonte Tyrell Huff for questioning only. They are not currently considered suspects in the murder, according to a press release issued just before midnight Friday.

Huff is also wanted as a suspect in an aggravated battery that occurred Thursday, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Investigators were seeking a third person, 28-year old Quentin Gholston, but they said Saturday afternoon that they were no longer looking for him.

Anderson, 14, was outside with friends when a fight erupted nearby and shots rang out, according family members. She was reportedly struck multiple times in the chest. She was transported by ambulance to Baptist Hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of the individuals is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP or the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620.

I think people are so brainwashed by so called thug stories about crime stoppers really what part of this do people not understand look you will not be identified no matter what so when some freak punk says they do well look at the source people they offer to pay for info protect your identity and no one still knows nothing get real. What are people so scared of this is a murder this is not some petty crime you should be able to sleep better at night to get a killer of the street.

    REGARDING:
“Three hands, one trigger, or did they all shoot the victim?”

    From above:
“They are not currently considered suspects in the murder, according to a press release issued just before midnight Friday.”

Three hands? Where did that come from?

Two people usually have four hands, three have six.

Further, if more than one gun is fired, more than one trigger is involved.

More to the point, it seems they are believed to have information which would clear up some who, what, when, why.

    David for truthful answers
and pity for those who suffer

This is crazy. When will the streets realize its not that serious… its not like the movies. You will get caught. You will spend life in prision or be killed.

The entire generation wether black, white or latino needs to disassociate itself and slowly but gradually separate itself from the hardcore, punk, gangster, gang banger, impulsive attitude and mindset that currently plauges a lot of todays poorer and uneducated, degenerates and youth.

As sad as it is to say, we need a population decline in the form of a massive extinction of a prtion of the human race. Only the strongest, smartest most willing survive. Then start from scratch without the generational welfare ideals we have.

Murder in the streets, a never ending flow.

What will we do when there is no longer any room or funding left to warehouse these people?

If anyone has a solution, I would love to hear it.

What, those are mugshots? I thought they were graduation pics.

  12. Robert S. on September 21st, 2013 9:30 am

@ Paul … yep, if you check the Escambia Co. Clerk of Court there is interesting history on 3 gentlemen who have similar names…possibly not these three though.
@ JT … and nobody saw anyone they recognize and nobody knows anything but there are those who admit to being afraid of reprisal in the neighborhood.

Meanwhile the sheriff’s dept. is waiting for info but the tip line phone is silent.

Where is the outrage and demands for justice in this case?

  13. paul on September 21st, 2013 8:24 am

I guess it’s no surprise they already have mugshots.. I’ll bet they were let off easy way too many times..thanks judges..

Ask their families. I’m sure they didn’t do it. They all just turned their lives around and straightened up. They all just enrolled in community college. They just got back into church and would never be involved in a situation like this. Saving the news some times because it’s always the same interview with the suspects families.
