Escambia Woman Busted For Pot On School Campus
August 21, 2013
A Escambia County woman was busted for having pot on campus at a Santa Rosa County School.
Lisa Ann Anderson, 42, drove a friend to register a child at Central High School on Monday. Anderson was apparently unaware that it was the first day of school, and a school resource officer was on patrol.
The SRO walked past Anderson’s car and could see a large bag of marijuana and other drug paraphernalia in plain view. He made contact with Anderson, and she was placed under arrest. She was booked into the Santa Rosa County Jail with bond set at $5,000.
Deputies said the bag of marijuana weighed 96 grams, enough for a third degree felony charge.

REGARDING:
“that’s enough for a 3 rd degree felony”
And if it weren’t, we have the additional “and other drug paraphernalia in plain view”.
Looks like a nice lady, just not lawful or careful (or happy).
David for closed doors
3.3863 ounces not pounds but that’s enough for a 3 rd degree felony
This is why it’s called DOPE!
it would be great if all the dopers left fl and moved to where drugs are legal.
we would have a much better place to live and raise our children.
At least she didn’t steal a Pelican and then claim no knowledge of it when it was in her car. These “adults” are setting SUCH a good example for their children. ***Rolling my eyes***
WEIGHING IN ON WEIGHT (OR MASS):
a thousand grams equals 2.205 pounds or 35.28 ounces (16 x 2.205)
a gram equals 0.03528 ounces (just shift the decimal point three places)
96 grams equals 0.03528 x 96 ounces or 3.38688 ounces, call it 3.4 ounces since I doubt anybody was measuring that closely and we’re only given the original mass to two significant figures.
Ain’t math fun?
Note for future reference:
If you intend to do illegal things, don’t do them out in the open.
David for lawfulness
or discretion
That’s almost as stupid as a bank robber passing a note to the teller that he wrote on the back of his own deposit slip, lol.
No need to squabble over the conversion from grams to ounces? She is a shining roll model for that middle schooler Maybe they need to look into his/her parents’ activities as well. . .
THAT IS NOT 3 POUNDS
“apparently” she didn’t realize that cannibus is STILL illegal in this state and even moreso on school property. “Apparently” her head was buried in the sand for not being a little more aware maybe? Wow……
.2 or 2 – Matters not! GOOD JOB, SRO!!!
She needs to move to Colorado…
96 grams= little less than a quarter lb.
96 grams equals 3.386302 ounces or .2116438 pounds.
That’s actually only 3.4 ounces, and there are 16 ounces in one pound. 2 and .2 are very different numbers.
No, I was right… Still sounds wrong though. 1g = .0022lbs. .0022 * 96 = .2112lbs
Nevermind… wrong conversion. That sounded wrong anyway.
“How do ride around with over 3lbs of pot and not expect to get caught?”
96 grams is 0.2 lbs; just a little bit shy of 3lbs.
How do ride around with over 3lbs of pot and not expect to get caught?
