Ernest Ward Middle Has New Student Drop Off Area And Time

August 18, 2013

The Ernest Ward Middle School student drop off area and times have changed due to construction on the campus.

The earliest student drop off  time will be 8:45 a.m. only for students that eat breakfast and 8:55 a.m. for all other students.

Persons dropping off students will enter from the first gate on the corner of the campus on Highway 99A. Students may not exit their vehicle until the 8:45 a.m. time if eating breakfast, or 8:55 a.m. otherwise. Vehicles will then exit through the front parking lot to Highway 97.  Students will be picked up in the same manner each afternoon.

No one is allowed behind the green construction fence for any reason.

    >>>I’m taking my son because nobody can seem to give me a bus schedule.

Call 469-2952 and talk to Janine Walker, route supervisor for Bratt, Molino Park, Ernest Ward, and Northview.

    William-
Thank you for trying to help! It still did not work though. It only gives the school times no matter what address I enter.

Trying changes to your address. For instance, if your address is XXXX Highway 97, try XXXX Hwy 97. And make sure you have the school selected.

I know someone where the Hwy worked and the Highway did not not.

    William-
I have clicked on the link to find out bus pick up/drop off times, but when I put in the address it just gives me 9:00-3:45. This is the school time. Any way to find out what time the bus will be picking up from home?

Alot of parents drop their kids off on the way to work because their kids have to be picked up an hour before they even get to school. It’s not always that they are “too good” to ride the cheese wagon.

    REGARDING:
“No…the buses would have entered the gate before the earliest student drop off time. They won’t be going through at the same time.”

Last year there were buses which reached EWMS after 8:45 AM on a regular basis and others which sometimes came in later due to delays.

    We shall see

Some children that live in split households cannot ride the bus on some days, since the bus want run that route since they are not on that bus every day. So they are forced by our county to be car riders.

If all these kids rode the bus instead of havin to be drivin to school there would not be an issue. No child is too good to ride the cheese wagon. That is why the county hires bus drivers.

not all buses are always in by 845. we will try to avoid the exiting drivers

No…the buses would have entered the gate before the earliest student drop off time. They won’t be going through at the same time.

So we have parents exiting the gate that the buses are entering, at the same times. Anyone else see a problem there? How abot reversing it and everyone goes in the same gate. Parents will just have to pull up to make room for the buses. Either way there are going to be backups on 99 or 97. I see lots of accidents between bus and car in our future.
