@Grumpy , Sequestration happened because the House Republicans refused to pass a budget. Meaning a budget that would get enough votes to pass.
Crying about the Blue Angels funding is an absolute joke compared to other funding that hasn’t been available that is hurting people and hurting economic growth & stability.
In addition to House Republicans not passing a budget, they have also not produce a jobs bill even though when they ran for office in 2010 and 2012, Republicans said “this election is about the economy and about jobs”.
They have taken lazy regressive positions on economy by taking money out of it. Sequestration did not keep John Boehner from putting forward a passable budget. Sequestration is a result of a budget not being passed along with the need to keep government funded.
Really, if you are blaming the POTUS or Senate Democrats for a budget not being passed that would have kept funding in place for the Blue Angels, amongst other more important funding at the DoD, then you really aren’t paying attention and/or you are allowing yourself to be use by the misinformation of political hacks who want you to think what you do for purely political reasons..

The Blues and the T-Birds were grounded by Obamas scheme to make his opposition look bad. He cares nothing for this country and less about American Military. Next will be troop cuts and carrier grounding. All because Obummer knows nothing about running a country! Enjoy your President!

Henry, the house has passed a budget year after year. It is the democrat senate under harry reid who has refused to present one. The Blues were grounded as a result of sequestration. An idea that was brought forward by the white house and nobama himself. (although he now says it is a crazy idea, acceptance barry, is the first step) Sequestration came about in exchange for cuts in return for raising the debt ceiling. If the senate under democrats would put the interest of america and her citizens first and pass a responsible budget, none of this would have probably occured.
And you people are the reason that this country is going down hill very quickly. Make excuses… after excuses…. No it is not the presidents fault it is someone else’s. Where do you think the money came from to fly all of those people to a concert?? O no the people… You people disgust me….. The country is going to crap and you people are the reason. Thank you.
Well said, Henry. As much as I like the Blue Angels, it’s more important to make sure that the aviators and battle groups in harm’s way are taken care of.

@Don, President Obama didn’t ground the Blue Angels. The Blue Angels were grounded because the Republican controlled House of Representatives didn’t create a Budget this year so the Pentagon/DoD didn’t have enough money to pay for everything up to October. That meant the Pentagon/DoD had to start making cuts so they could pay for what they could and cut out what they couldn’t pay for so they could stretch what dollars they had.
I’m sure you heard somewhere in Conservative Media circles that it was Obama’s fault or maybe you just assumed it, but really, it was Republican Leadership that refused to make a budget that caused it. This lack of action on their part is also regressive on the economy and hurting economic growth. Give credit where it is due.

Is’nt that something! To think our commander in chief grounded one of the most beloved symbols of our military due to buget restraints,but the first lady can fly her children and 20 of their friends to a beyonce concert in Chicago on our dime outrageous !!
