William Randall “Randy” Rowell

Mr. William Randall “Randy” Rowell, 43, passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, in The Colony, Texas.

Mr. Rowell was a native of Walnut Hill and had resided in The Colony, Texas for the past six years. Mr. Rowell is preceded in death by his father Mr. Curtis Rowell.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Barbara Dianne and Howard Monroe of Walnut Hill; wife, Angela Dortch Rowell of The Colony, Texas; one son, Randall Rowell of The Colony, Texas; four daughters, Sheridan Rowell and Kayleigh Rowell of The Colony, Texas, Ashley Rowell of Pace and Amanda Bell (Jay) of Norfolk, VA; one sister, Angela Powell of Atmore; and three grandchildren, James, Lucas and Naleigha.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 30, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Gladyn Mothershed and Rev. Paul LaSalle officiating.

Burial will follow at the Godwin Cemetery.

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Wilson, Bobby Harrison, Johnny Burkett, Marcus Mathis, Cody Mathis, Ryan Reaves. Honorary pallbearer is Randy Martin.

Petty-Eastside Chapel Funeral Homes, LLC is in charge of all arrangements.

    Randy was a dear friend, who grew up with me more as a brother…. VERY DEARLY MISSED

    Shared two years of college with Randy at PJC where we earned our CAD A.S. degrees in ‘97. He was “Sharp as a Tac” in comprehending college material very well. He would then translate it to me in “Redneck Terms” so I would be able to receive my certificate as well. Enjoyed riding to school, talking & laughing with him on a daily basis. It’s been several years since I spoke with him but he will be greatly missed by many. Prayers go out to family…

    I remember Randy in the high school years , What a bright and cheerful soul he was how i think that life is sometimes unfair , he will be missed by many peace to you my brother may God hold you close and comfort you , may he also bless and comfort the family and friends that you leave behind that so when the time comes ole friend we can shake hands again

    Please accept my deepest and most sincerest condolensces to Randy’s immediate and extended family. I know how difficult this is and will continue to be for you. Randy will be most remembered by me, for his kindness, gentle behavior, sense of humor and beautiful spirit. He was truly an amazing individual and will be intensely missed by all. No one will ever measure up to his standards as a human being. Much love and gratitude to you for allowing me to share a wonderful friendship with him.

    Randy’s warmth and gentle nature was loved and appreciated by many. His coworkers and friends will truly miss him. Our deepest sympathies are with his family and close friends.
