Photos: Train Derailment
July 17, 2013
A train derailed Tuesday afternoon near “L” Street in Pensacola. The wheels of one hopper-type car came off the tracks about 5:00 p.m., temporarily blocking the roadway. There were no injuries.
The incident was at least the second minor derailment in Escambia County in the past month. On June 19, there was a minor derailment at the Louis Street Crossing in Cantonment.

I wonder if this line is a public company or privately owned?
They certainly need to apply some operating and maintenance funds to their infrastructure as this is the second recent incident of such.
I further wonder what the maximum speed achieved is for this line’s trains?
Do they haul Hazardous materiels near residential or rural areas for that matter.
