Lewis Peters

Lewis Peters, also known as Blondie, was welcomed by his Savior on July 10, 2013.  He  was born in Wicksburg, AL  and was a longtime resident of Gonzalez.

Blondie was a loving husband and friend to Allie for 58 years. He was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, friend and a faithful servant of the Lord.

Lewis served in the Air Force in the Korean Conflict.  He worked in the bag plant for St. Regis Paper Company for 26 years and was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mama, papa, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Lewis is survived by his loving wife, Allie Peters, daughter, Jan Hodson; granddaughter,  Dawn Schwartz; great granddaughter, Amanda Schwartz; niece, Susan, and nephews,
Bobby and Taylor Trawick Fleming.

Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with funeral service at noon at Faith Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, July 13, 2013.    Burial will be at Damascus Cemetery in  Brewton at 2 p.m.

He was salt and light to all that he met.  He will be missed.

Faith Chapel Funeral Home North is in charge of arrangements.
