Deputies Seek Home Invasion Suspects

July 24, 2013

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office is looking for two suspects following a home invasion last Friday in the 7000 block of Charter Oaks Drive, just off Olive Road.

At about 9:30 a.m., two black males forced their way into the residence, the Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday. One was 6-foot, 2-inches, and the other was about 6-foot, 5-inches, deputies said. The suspects struck the victims with a handgun after binding them. They suspects fled after taking money and other items.

The three victims were able to free themselves and call 911.

Investigators are currently looking for a 2003 tan Chevrolet Tahoe with tinted windows in connection with the incident.

Anyone with information should contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP. Citizens should not approach the suspects, deputies said, because they should be considered armed and dangerous.

Prepare yourselves…these despots have no respect for life, therefore their criminal lives should be ended by whatever it takes to protect yourself…

    Robert S.,

The days of being naive are over. Society has slowly been corrupting for the last 100 years or so. Morals, manners, and respect for your fellow man has been thrown under the bus and people never looked back.

I feel that this is because people are way to comfortable living in the United States. We fight wars over seas and fortunately we do not have to experience carnage (except terrorist attacks) first hand.

In my opinion, if we had a war fought on our turf or another sizeable world war where losing meant YOUR life was in danger or YOUR rights would be erased, you would see a change.

It is very sad to say that a war on the homefront would bring us all closer and stop the great divide we have seen.

Ever hear of the phrase “Idle hands are the devils work.”

Well if we all are not working towards a common goal then many of us go awash and stray. The last time this country came together as one and pulled through was world war two. Those were the days where you donated things and rationed certain foods because it needed to go to the troopsto continue the fight against evil..

Anywho, that’s my two cents. Hope they catch these criminals and punishthem to the full extent of the law.

Family very close to my heart lives in this neighborhood not far from the 7000 block.
When they built the house there 25 years ago this was a prime area and served them well to raise kids who played in the streets and knew all neighbors.
Things change and not always for the better. There have been more problems in the past few years in this area, robberies, drug arrests, and the like. They come home, unlock door, go inside, turn off alarm system, lock door and stay inside or in the backyard.
Now they are talking about relocating, one more good family gone from the community there.
Question they have is, Where can we move and feel safe anymore?
I have no answers for them.
