They just needed a place to stay for a while and food to eat. They knew Escambia County Jail would provide for them. Sad.

Wonder if the $1,010.28 figure includes the “loss of applicable taxes” on items?

Friend works retail at a big store and says it is amazing how much and what people will try to take without paying. Stuff shoes down pants legs, put food items into underwear, try to roll out a buggy with a television, don’t recall anything about theft of tools or shovels or such to work with.

These two will be in big trouble if the taxing authorities find they’d have lost revenue too.

If the average citizen knew how many shoplifting arrest are made each day at the local – Escambia County – Walmarts, and not every shoplifter is caught at the time of the original crime. Many times its when they attempt to return the stolen merchandise at another Walmart.

Lately a number of those arrested specifically stated they their sole purpose for coming to Walmart was to steal. Guess the gubermint is giving them enough credit on the EBT cards!

What … “you wanted us to pay for these items” – “sense when” , “I’m suing Walmart” …

I’m sure the carts were full of groceries. Yeah right.

Are they stupid enough to think they can just walk out of a WalMart with two cart of merchandise and not pay for it?
