Thomas Edward Morgan

Thomas Edward Morgan, age 78 of Pensacola passed away Monday, June 17, 2013. Tom was born October 13, 1934, in Molino,the third child of 14, to the late Walter Howard and Myrtle (Tucker) Morgan. Other than time spent in the US Air Force, Tom spent his entire life in Escambia County and was a lifelong active member of Pinehaven Baptist Church.

Tom met the love of his life, Gloria Sue (Patty) Morgan, in 1956 and married soon after. Tom was an aircraft and auto mechanic and retired from the City of Pensacola as foreman of the city’s maintenance shop.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Judy Yuhasz and June Wood and his brother, Howard.

Tom is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Sue Patty and their five children, Eddie (Margie) Morgan, Milton; Walter Morgan, Eldorado, OK; June (Paul) Brown, Pensacola; Jeff (Lisa) Morgan, Tallahassee; Holly (Larry) Woodward, Pensacola; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eddie Morgan, Walter Morgan, Jeff Morgan, Morgan Wood, Otha Yuhasz and Jason Hammonds.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Tom’s brothers: Mickey Morgan, Frank Morgan, Jack Morgan and Larry Morgan.

Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society .

The family will receive friends Friday, June 21, 2013, from 10 AM to 11:30 a.m. at Faith Chapel Funeral Home North with Chapel services at 11:30 a.m.. Graveside service will be at Morgan Cemetery in Molino.
