Teen Arrested For Stealing About Two Dozen Highway Signs
June 28, 2013
A local teen has been arrested for allegedly stealing about two dozen highway signs from roadways in the North Escambia area.
Jerry Ladwan Barlow, 17, was arrested Thursday morning on a felony charge of grand theft less than $5,000 and damage to property. He was released to his parents.
The signs — everything from speed limit signs, to a CR 99 sign, to bridge weight limit, railroad crossing and stop signs — were seized from a home near Walnut Hill in late May after the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office received a tip.
The signs were returned to the Escambia County Road Department and other agencies.

Seems to me he has nothing better to do….So the judge should let him do community service ,picking to trash ….
Just because he is a minor does not mean anything it is public records. The public has the right to know. He stole state and county property which is paid for by taxpayers.
>>MY SON IS A MINOR AND I WANT TO KNOW WHY MR. NORTHESCAMBIA THINKS HE CAN PUT MINORS NAMES OUT ON BLAST
The name, mugshot and other info of a minor of any age charged with a felony is public record in Florida — that’s why it was released by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

Well I am glad no one was killed because of this childish act, let him spend some time in jail, maybe he will think like an adult instead of a five year old that doesn’t know right from wrong.
I’m with you, wonder. It’s a miracle someone wasn’t killed. Idiot.
Maybe he needs a curve sign.
Definitely needs to make a turn.
maybe when he goes to jail they can put a “wrong way” sign on his wall above his bed!!!!
Instead of reading the STOP sign…he chose to take it down along with the others. Again great job Mr. Preston and team…
Let him work with the county free for a while washing and cutting around their signs.
Kids gotta have a hobby.
Larceny seems to be a popular hobby locally.
Well so much for the decor in that man cave.
What would have happen if someone ran one of these stop signs and were killed? This happen in Texas. The kid was charged and sent to prison for a long time.
