No Injuries In Tour Bus, Car Crash In Molino
June 8, 2013
There were no injuries in a wreck involving a car and tour bus Saturday morning in Molino.
The accident happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection Highway 29 and Highway 97. The front of a tour bus operated by a Selma, AL, company apparently collided with the rear of a Buck Park Avenue. The number of passengers on the bus was not immediately available.
The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. The Molino Station of Escambia Fire Rescue also responded.

…and now cars are crossing hwy 29 from Tom Thumb parking lot to turn north. I can see trouble for many innocent people who are trying to drive safely.
It was the buicks fault the bus was in the south bound lane and the Buick pulled right out in front of the bus I saw the whole thing it happened right in front of me cause I was in the median waiting to cross the south bound lane of 29 nothing the bus could have done a red light want help stupid.
I bet the Buick was turning left off of 29 and got pushed out of the way by the bus.
Its Called Get A Check, pull in front of a slow moving vehicle, get rear ended, GET PAID. I knew a guy that did it to a firetruck, got a new SUV and a fat check. The times we live in now.
This is a bad intersection and people around here know that but people from other areas may not know it, though common sense should say “be careful”. Traffic lights are installed with turn signals to give people a safer intersection.
@Walnut Hill Roy–county “wisdom” has nothing to do with Highway 97 it’s a state road.
Intersections aren’t dangerous.
Drivers are.
(Although I WILL admit some intersections are more tolerant of mistakes and careless drivers than others are.)
I believe the Buick is sitting on the shoulder of Hwy. 97 on the East side of Hwy. 29.
Look at the bottom picture with the Buick on Crabtree Church Road, that road intersecting with rte 97 that close to the intersection with rte 29 is what causes the problem. cars or in this case a tour bus turning onto rte 97 are immediately confronted with a stopped vehicle waiting to turn onto Crabtree Church Road.
The county in all of it’s “wisdom” only made the situation worse by not addressing the problem when they widened rte 97.
Oh goodness, here we go again. Sure, a red light will solve all the problems of irresponsible people. I go through that intersection multiple times a week and I NEVER have an issue……………because I PAY ATTENTION to what I am doing, as well as, what everyone else is doing.
I’m glad there were no serious injuries.
I would love to see a traffic light there.
what a surprise….NOT! there are constantly accidents at that intersection, and it will continue until they make it safer! Seems I post this a couple times a month!!!
