Rest in peace, Uncle John. I am happy to know that we were there to visit you when you were at the rehab facility and you enjoyed the strawberry ice cream and Reese’s cups we brought you. I enjoyed sitting outside and talking to you when you were lonely and just wanted someone to talk to!

You spent your last days with your puppies and that is what matters. You are out of pain now.

This is certainly a sad situation for all involved. I pray for the family as this man seemed to have a lot of love in his life. There used to be an elderly lady on Olive Rd who would travel at night in a mobility scooter and I almost hit her once. She had no lights, reflectors, or anything. The public roads and hiways are NO Place for these types of vehicles. It is just an accident waiting to happen.

Is this the same John that hung out at Bobby J’s with his brother Everette? My goodness what a shame. I sure hate to hear this. He was a good guy always made people laugh

Such a sad and senseless tragedy :( I have seen this man on NUMEROUS occasions riding his Scooter on the road! I’ve driven up behind him and he would politely move onto the shoulder of the road to let me pass. I know that it was his means of transportation but it is not a vehicle that should be driven on our road ways! Let alone the fact that it was DARK!! May God bless the Cowan family as well as Robert Dunn and his family!! Praying!

He wasn’t perfect. But who is? One things for certain. He wanted things different. I spent some time with my dad in the Fall he loved his kids just didn’t know how to embrace that. Too many people evolve their lives wraped around guilt. His life was one a lot of people will miss. I love you dad. You can rest now. Painless. Your with God now. John bowers.
