I lost insulation on several outlets after the lightning hit wires going into my house. Fortunately I had one non-working plug and had an electrician check the plugs and found the problems before the house caught on fire. Please always have someone check out house if lightning has hit wires.

As Information—Please check the ground to the Electric Meter and switch box.
Make sure the ground wires are properly attached to the ground rods also the proper rods and ground wire was used. Also check every outlet and light connection throughout the house. I lost my home in the 80’s due to a lightening strike. A outlet shorted and the wire became overheated burned off the insulation and caught the
all wood house on fire. It did not happen right off as several months passed before the house burned. Have someone follow up right away to make sure this does not happen to you…..Good Luck
