@Debie, try rubber worms with snagless hooks (Safety pin style).

They glide over the grass, where the predator fish are lurking.

Nice camp ground if you’re passing through but do not go for the fishing all you will catch is mosquitoes.

I was so excited to go fishing for the first time in years and chose this lake. So much grass that I lost lures, line and even the top half of my new fishing rod due to the grass. I will not be coming back. Award? We drove all around the place and saw nothing but grass.

Beautiful RV/camp Grounds! But need the grass cut on all the points on boat launch side an get the grass out of the lake ..when you can’t troll due to it there is a problem!
I hook more grass than fish!

It want never win a award for the fishing. State of Florida has stopped spending money on the lake or i should say only enough to keep it fertilized. Late 80′ s it was some fishing. After the dam repair in 1990 it was great. In 1995 their were some big fish in the lake. Bass we’re growing 2 lb. growth rate a year. Then another dam repair . They decided they had spent to much money was not going to spend no more on lake management.
