June 8, 2013

An Escambia County man is facing up to life in prison after being convicted on child sexual battery charges.

Jeffrey Todd Morris was convicted by an Escambia County Jury of two counts sexual battery by a person in familial or custodial authority and one count of lewd and lascivious molestation on a victim under 12.

The charges stemmed from ongoing sexual activity from the time the victim was six years old until she was 18 years old.  The victim gave birth in February and DNA confirmed the
defendant to be the father.

Jeffrey Morris is scheduled to be sentenced by Circuit Judge Frank Bell on July 10. Morris faces a minimum mandatory sentence of 25 years to a maximum of life in state prison.

However LIFE for him isn’t that amazing since hell be behind bars for the rest of his hopefully. Then after rotting in prison, hell be rotting in hell :)

It is sad that people do this to innocent children. To have known all parties involved in this, it truly sickens me. I have prayed for a year now that God would see this sweet young women through this and he did. Justice hasn’t been fully served but as long as he is behind bars for the rest of his life she can try to live as normal of a life as she can. If my tax dollars feeding him keeps her safe then so be it. Please pray that July 10th this monster will get LIFE. Please share this on facebook …this may help anither child that is afraid to tell because they have been threaten with their life or someone they loves life. Its ok to tell someone because child abuse is not right, it can damage a child for the rest of their life. I love this family and now you are feee from the worst scumb bag on the earth. The baby was proven to be his at 99.9999999999999 percent. That should tell u something.

As a former victim myself, but not a victim of this pedophile, justice will never be served while this animal lives, I agree with “unforgiven” take this monster out back and put a bullet in him and if you are afraid, well I’m not, hand me the gun, I’ll gladly do it. His victim will have to live with what he has done to her for the REST OF HER ENTIRE LIFE, TRUST ME, I KNOW!

Dont keep wasting our tax paying dollars on these things to get 3 hots and a cot..As someone who dealt with this from the time I was 9 to 16, they dont change..Bring back the firing squad an just shoot them all..

DNA and testimony proves he is guilty. Take him out back of the courthouse and put a bullet in him and save the taxpayers some burden. If anyone is too shy to do that, hand me the gun!

To my knowledge, science and penology has no deterrent punishment for this type of crime/sickness. Some jurisdictions practice castration to lessen the impulse, however, once the pattern of behavior is established, it’s uncertain whether that actually works. While I don’t condone retaliation, my gut tells me what I’d do if he abused my daughter. I hope this guy never sees the light of day again.
