June 13, 2013

[Updated] Two church burglaries discovered Wednesday are under investigation by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

A burglary was  reported Wednesday morning just before 8:00 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church on Highway 29 at Thompson Road in Bluff Springs. A powered mixer, two Peavey speakers and a wireless microphone system were stolen (pictured below).

“It is sad that someone would rob a church,” said Pastor Jimmy Wood “My prayer is that whoever did this will return what they have stolen and surrender their life to the Lord.”

Wednesday afternoon, members of the Antioch Springs of Life Church at the corner of North Pineville Road and Jakes Road in Nokomis discovered that their house of worship had been burglarized. Someone stole an air conditioner, speakers, sound equipment, dishes and a few other miscellaneous items, according to church members.

An Antioch Springs member said this was the third burglary at their church in recent years. They believe the latest burglary happened between 6:00 Tuesday night and 4:00 p.m. Wednesday.

There was no immediate indication that the two burglaries were related. Anyone with information on either crime is asked to contact the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 436-9620 or Gulf Coast Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

It is a shame that anyone would steal for Gods’ house. But we are praying for the conviction power of God that their soul might be saved. Everything we have belongs to God and the person or persons that stole from God is just bring down the wrath of God down on them. What is done in the dark will be shouted from the house tops. Their sins will be brought to light. Praying that the fear of God to be instilled in the heart of the thief and they would fall under great conviction and return the things that was stolen and ask for forgiveness, first of all from God and then the church.

You can try to give a person’s name to be watched & they want to send a deputy out to talk to you, even tho you don’t know anything you just want to give a name, you can suggest to family member but no not them so & so wouldn’t do that, then you’re the one causing problems, but pretty much it seems like when they come in or go out of town, something happens, but no it wasn’t them cause they were gone or hadn’t got here yet. People need to open their eyes & stop digging a hole in the dirt around them.

Please everyone help us pray for souls of these people. We r all hurt but God can and will replace those material things. Our people would give them freely all they stole for their hearts to be given to God and salvation take place. Springs of life church is more concerned about the wrath of God and damnation they have brought upon themselves. Help us pray their lack of respect and fear of God will bring them to a place of salvation as conviction from God falls upon them and they see what they have become without him! HOPELESS!

    REGARDING:
“What kind of Low-Life would rob a Church, ”

The same kind who would steal from anyone else.

A church is people united under a common religious belief. The thief is stealing from people based on his belief he won’t face judgment.

    David for honest people

Be careful out there folks, get your Neighborhood Watch groups together and keep an eye out! Apparently now they have decided churches are easy targets. The ECSO has information for you on keeping your churches safe…call David Craig at 436-9281 for information regarding this.
