Fire Destroys Bus On Highway 29 In Molino

Fire destroyed a community transport bus Wednesday evening in Molino, shutting down southbound Highway 29 for over an hour.
The bus driver told officials that he had just let off a passenger and was headed southbound on Highway 29 when he noticed a lot of heat on his feet. The bus was fully involved when the first firefighters arrived on scene.
There were no injuries.
The Molino and McDavid stations of Escambia Fire Rescue and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the fire.

That was a new driver, and he knew what to do.
Maybe they need better vans for taking people to appointments..
I hope things get better for the drivers..
Keep them safe to be able to help people that cant drive for their appointments…..

That would because of a large, burning bus, a highway that had to be cleaned of charred debris and the cleanup to remove the bus and remnants from beside the highway.

Wow! That’s scary. Glad no one was hurt!
we saw this bus on the way to church when he had just pulledit into the median. I never thought that it would burn down like that.
I seen that when I was on my way home, quick thinking and thank God no one was hurt…
