Marshall Benton Free “PawPaw”

Marshall Benton Free “PawPaw”, passed away April 5, 2013.

He was proceded in death by his wife, Sara Free and three brothers, William, Boyd and Billy Free.

He is survived by his brother, Sonny Free; children, Sharon (David) Summerlin, Gary (Renee) Free, and Marsha (Bill) Ryland; grandchildren, Jennifer Summerlin, Chris (Tammy) Ryland, Heather (Robby) Lowery, Brian Summerlin, Cheyenne Free, Amanda Ryland and Amber (Adam) Free; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Cottage Hill. PawPaw was dearly loved by his family. He will be greatly missed but we are comforted to know that scripture promises β€œTo be absent from the body is to present with the Lord.” – 2 Corinthians 5:8 With that, we celebrate!

Visitation will be Monday, April 8, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Cottage Hill Baptist Church in Cantonment, with services to follow at 6 p.m.

    To Uncle Benton’s children….I am so sorry to hear about Uncle Benton..I have very fond memories of growing up with your family…I remember Uncle Benton coming to Gant Pond in Andalusia..w/ all of you kids & we had a great tiime….I also remember going to Pensacola for spring break…Horse riding & going to the beach…Love to you all…..You know we lost my mother Bonnie Norman on March 5th….too many loved ones passing at same time…Love you , Bonnie Ann
