This really shows how people can really exaggerate things. Yes, people were told to stay inside. The police were going door to door searching for the person.
The SWAT team was NOT there. There were a lot of police but no SWAT. There was not one shot fired. The police found the room he was in, asked him to step outside. He stepped outside the room, was handcuffed and put in a police car. It is so unbelieveable that people will lie in a case as serious as this. Of course, that makes for better comments, right???

I live in the above mentioned motel, it was a very surreal and scary couple of hours!!! After the initial gunfire, the complex was swarmed with SWAT and heavy artillery, and we were told to stay inside. Wow.

Why is there no mention of the shootout that took place on Mobile Hwy where passing cars where shot?
