Seems like this area is a Hot Zone for Major Accidents.

I cross 29 at this intersection a few times a month and I always wait a few seconds when the light turns green to see if someone is going to run the red light on 29.

a lot of time you have to stop at every red light going down Hwy. 29. I believe if they could synchronize the lights we wouldn’t be so frustrated.

melodys4us, apparently you haven’t read other posts, the police are seen out there, I have seen them myself. They can’t be posted 24/7 out there, some people need touse common sense & stop running lights or pulling out in front if others, etc.

I agree with “troubled” . The police SHOULD be seen.

I believe there was an accident there yesterday (Friday) around 6:15 AM as well in the south bound lanes. If I remember correctly, the traffic light there was put up just a few years ago because of some bad accidents there. I’m sure it’s helped, but it can’t stop careless driving. I’m amazed at the number of cars along this stretch that either go 30 MPH or 90 MPH.

troubled – This is just up the road from my house. FHP is there several times a week… can’t put this one off on LEOs. People are just ignorant, selfish and irresponsible.

I work in this area and I see the State Troopers in this area everyday of the week and various times throughout the day. You could multiply the police force by 100 and still wouldn’t put a dent in the amount of accidents here or anywhere. You can’t Police Stupid.

@troubled– it’s the same all over. LEO can’t be every where all of the time. I was passed on 97 in the hilly area just above Crabtree this a/m by a small car. The driver had to be pegging 80/90 and no one can see what’s coming in that area. Bb I’m with you on that also. It would appear that many people over sleep or something. The stop signs and the speed signs are just there for decoration.

I drive this drive this way to work daily, and people try to beat that light all the time, Then the people turning on to 29 do not yield to the drivers going straight they turn if front you you! then there are the folks who drop their children off at school who pass you on the o the sides 91/2 rd while you are waiting for the light to charge,it’s crazy right there, I do hope everyone involved will be ok.. my prayers go out to them…

It seems that there are a lot of crashes at this area. Are the police doing anything about it? Maybe, being seen in the area more. Anytime I am driving in this area at the posted speed limit, I get passed like I am sitting still !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe if the police could be seen people would slow down.
