Hmmmmm, nothing in the story about brakes going out or the load shifting. Still makes me wonder if the proper safety walk around was done before the truck moved with that load.

Don’t talk about truck drivers with your mouth full……..accidents happen whether it’s a log truck or a car. Take his license????……and take away his ability to provide for his family……some people spout off their mouth before they think! I believe if everyone would stay home and off the small streets in Atmore the truckers would have less problems……and they couldn’t hit anyone. Now that would be a blessing!!!!

Kudos to the truck driver……his brakes went out and he did some quick thinking and fancy driving and no one got hurt!!!

The brakes on the log truck went out. That is the reason the driver had to turn between Arby’s and KFC. The driver was trying to prevent anyone from getting seriously injured. I think he done a great job of taking control of the situation.

And if you people would wait for the facts instead of rushing to judgement you would know that the driver was not at fault. That the load shifted while he was turning. And this my jugdemental friends came from the Boys in Blue.

You people are so ignorant! Truck drivers are human just as you and I. You say the driver should not have a license? Well when you wreck your personal vehicle make sure you tell the law enforcement in charge that he should take YOUR license away. The driver made a mistake, there wasn’t any injuries so stop with the what if’s! Go look at your own lives and see how many times you all have screwed up….I’m guessing more than once!

Glad no one was hurt. Unfortunately this will happen again because so many of the log truck drivers drive recklessly.
