Motorcyclist Injured In Hwy 29 Hit And Run Crash

February 7, 2013

One person was injured in a hit and run crash Thursday afternoon involving a motorcycle.

The accident happened about 4:10 on Highway 29 southbound at Morris Avenue in Cantonment.  The motorcycle driver was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Witnesses told authorities that an older model blue station wagon with wood grain panels was involved in the crash but fled the scene. The station wagon reportedly rear-ended the motorcycle, pushing it into a pickup.

The accident is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.

The “grill” in the second picture isn’t off of a car. It is the trim piece that goes in front of the radiator on the motorcycle. Pretty obvious seeing as the motor was rear-ended in to another vehicle.

The article states: The station wagon reportedly rear-ended the motorcycle, pushing it into a pickup.

So, why is the broken grill and license plate on the ground? Was it a rear-end or front-end accident? Was the plate from the pick up or the wagon?

Either way – sounds a bit on the aggressive side. Why would someone do this without knowing they were damaging another vehicle? Confrontation or accident? How long did it last? Road-rage, change of direction, boot-scoot-n-boogy! These people are nuts and don’t care about anyone else.

Glad the motorcycle driver was not seriously injured. Bent is correct – seems this type of vehicle with the additional damage should be found rather quickly.

It used to have a Forida Gators front license plate.

Judging by the parts of that grill the type of car is a early 90s buick

The station wagon was a dark blue with woodgrain panel, fled west on Morris Ave then toward Farm Hill down Well Line.
