Man Facing DUI, Drug Charges After Traffic Crash
February 9, 2013
An Escambia County man is behind bars on DUI and other charges following a traffic crash Friday night.
The Florida Highway Patrol said 30-year old Derwin Robinson, Jr. was northbound on Fairfield Drive near Martin Drive when he crossed over into the southbound lanes and struck a 199 Ford Mustang head-on.
The occupants of the Mustang, 55-year oldĀ Jayne Frances Brown and 61-year old Dianna Claire Nielsen, were taken to Baptist Hospital in serious condition. Robinson was not injured.
Robinson was charged with DUI with serious bodily injury, driving on the wrong side of marked highway, possession of marijuana and driving with a suspended license, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. He was booked into the Escambia County Jail with bond set at $6,500.

I wonder who his insurance carrier is?
NO TOLERANCE?
While my friend lays in the ICU in agonizing pain due to a crushed leg and severed Achilles tendon this guy is already out of jail!!!! Where is the justice?!?!?!?
RE: Concerned
Check the Escambia county clerk or courts web page in a few days… it should list his info, usually to include the Judge was who set his bond. It is all public information.
I pray the bond is wrong. So, sad for the injured , let us pray for our nation , this is normal behavior in our society.
This one needs to go away for about 35 years…no respect for the law, or anything else…just a drunk thats messed up other people’s lives…
I can not believe this bond,is it a missprint? If not we need to know the judges name who set this bond so we can follow this judges future actions and remember at election time. This is an insult to these people who are seriously injured by some one who was not supposed to be driving in the first place!
Bond is crazy, there should be no bond for someone that should not have been driving, intoxicated, and under influence of drugs. Wake up law enforcement! Jayne is a sweet lady and I hope everyone will remember her in your prayers along with her passenger.
