Ernest Ward Middle Holds Registration, Orientation

Ernest Ward Middle School held an orientation and registration Thursday night for all students who plan to attend EWMS next school year. During the program, EWMS and staff members were available to answer questions and explain middle school programs, extracurricular activities, and middle school academies.
Ernest Ward offers three middle school academies: Culinary Arts, Graphic Arts, and Fabrication and Pre-engineering.

Mrs. Perry, Thanks, I should have said that, after rereading I caught on that I didn’t give all info., sorry bout that. They are great programs, and I also believe that whoever attends either one, it will give students something to look forward to in the future.

If their schedule allows and grades/test scores allows, yes they can be in both. As far as having to stay in one or both for 3 years….no. They can move but will not be a program completer and will be removed from the “academy” which could effect placement for the following year. If you need more information please call EWMS and speak with me (Mrs. Perry), Mrs. Hanks, or Mrs. Murphy. We will do our very best to helping you.
I don’t know if they could enroll in all 3, but I have been told that they can enroll in the C A A & the G A A. & get credit for both, but they have to stay in each one for 3 yrs.
