Atmore Names Citizen, Business Of Year

The Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce named their business and citizen of the year during the organization’s annual banquet Thursday night.

Dr. Jonathan Yoder was named the Citizen of the Year by the chamber. And the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company/South Alabama Vending was named as the Atmore Area Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year.

    Yeah it’s kinda funny all you can find in Atmore is Pepsi…they also have entrenched positions on the city council. But to be fair…many local cafes say coke doesn’t respond to their needs as quickly…then again their isn’t a Coke distributor in town and I doubt a coke distributor could get a business license(see above).Things might be changing up there but that town got a long way to go.

    Of course Pepsi is the business of the year, the whole dang town is all Pepsi. Try finding a coke in Atmore besides at the Waffle House and McDonalds!!!! They have the entire town is drowning in Pepsi. It’s like your food options there.. Do you want country food or country food? Would you like a Pepsi? Good cause that’s all your getting besides sweet tea honey! Bless our heart!
