Navy Federal Named To FORTUNE’s ‘100 Best Companies To Work For’ List

January 17, 2013

Navy Federal was named Wednesday to FORTUNE Magazine’s 2013 list of  “100 Best Companies To Work For.” This was the third appearance on the list during the last five years.

“This is an important honor for us. I believe it recognizes the enthusiasm and dedication our employees have for our mission to serve the men and women of the Department of Defense and their families,” said Cutler Dawson, president/CEO, Navy Federal Credit Union. “2012 was a record year for us—record growth in new members, loans, deposits and all our member success measures. But the real story is that we couldn’t have done this without the commitment of our employees. I am so very proud of the entire Navy Federal team.”

In 2012, the Navy Federal workforce grew to over 10,000 employees on its three campuses —Vienna, Va., Winchester, Va. and Pensacola—and 229 branches worldwide.

“We value employees who want to be part of a winning team and will embrace our corporate culture,” Dawson said. “We return that dedication by providing outstanding training, opportunities for career advancement — and excellent benefits.”

    I dont know that NFCU stiff armed anyone. They made an offer, let the debate run its course and the offer was accepted. The 4Hers were promised something in return. That is where the debate should now lie! The promises are dragging with a task force that is being somewhat guarded and the outcome is questionable. IFAS doesnt want any extra land! Put your complaints to them! Call county commissioners, call extension office, let your thoughts be known. I have! You need to do the same.
    A list of 4h foundation members can be obtained from extension. Call every one of them and voice your concerns.
    Congratulations, Debbie Calder and NFCU. Take great care in the beauty and landscape of the old and pristine LBC!

    RH,
    Community? Using political and chamber of commerce connections to strong arm a bunch of kids into selling land to them. That is not my definition of community oriented.

    To dad;

    Go to navyfederal.org, click on “Contact Us” at the top of the page, then look for “Careers”, then click on “Search Jobs”.

    I too am employed at NFCU and I wouldn’t want to work anywhere else! They truly care about their employees and their families. Pay, benefits, and bonuses are GREAT! I have only great things to say for this organization-there is NO better. Even with the economy the way it is, we still stand strong. NFCU opened in 1933 and not once have they ever had one person be laid off. That says alot. I love coming to work everyday (who can say that?) and I wouldn’t want that to ever change.
    I have been employed with NFCU for almost 10 years now (since they opened the Contact Center in Beulah Sept 2003) and it gets better each year that I have been there! CONGRATS NFCU!!

    Navy Federal is a true role model for other companies to follow. The emphasis they put on taking care of their members, employees, and community is second to none. I am proud to have Navy Federal as part of our community and I would not bank anywhere else.

    I work for Navy Federal Credit Union and I think this is the BEST employer. The company truly values its employees, their hard work, and rewards them at every opportunity. I am very pleased to be apart of such great organization.
