Escambia Man Arrested For Possessing Child Porn

November 3, 2012

An Escambia County man has been arrested on multiple felony child pornography charges after police said a month-long investigation determined he was downloading child porn off the internet.

William Blake Edgar, 24, was charged with 19 counts of possession of child pornography. Additional charges are anticipated, according to Pensacola Police Department Detective Jeff Brown.

Edgar, who is unemployed, was arrested during the execution of a search warrant at his residence. The warrant was served by members of the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which includes personnel from the Pensacola Police Department, Escambia County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security.

Brown said officers seized a computer and several other electronic devices that contained several thousand child notable photographs; additional forensic investigations will be done on the devices.
The male and female children shown in the photographs are believed to be up to 13 years old. Some of the pictures and movies showed children being sexually abused, police said.
Brown said investigators also are trying to determine if Edgar had personal contact with children.

I hope this IS embarrassing to him. He deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. It’s not like they found one picture. Then, I’d believe it was downloaded by mistake but they found way too many for this to be anyhing BUT malicious. He doesn’t deserve my prayers nor sympathy. I only care about the innocent children involved. I don’t care about the monster arrested for possessing these images. As long as there are monsters like this in society, then children will continue to be exploited. Shame on you for putting empathy in HIS corner. Tsk tsk tsk

I wonder if any of those children can be recognized as missing and maybe can be found. Poor babies! I hope the ones who took the pictures get caught and……well, that justice is served.

Some of u are fast to say he is a child molester it didn’t say anything about that just said he had downloaded child porn onto his computer we don’t know for what reason or why so before we go saying all the negative things about this man and saying what he deserves we should all let the justice system do its job I’m sure they will get to the bottom of this. For all the Christian people seeing this please pray for William Blake Edgar and his family I’m sure it’s not easy for any of them.

As a victim of child abuse I know first hand these perverts dont change at all. They move to their next victim with more knowledge on how to silence these children. I found out just the other day the pervert that molested me, molested atleast 10 more after me. I feel partially to blame because i didnt press charges because this pervert was a family member. I just ran away from the problem but I did tell everyone but of course no one listens until it happens to them. There is a special place in HELL for these people.. I personally feel like they should be shot or tied to a tree in the middle of the woods and let animals ripped them to shredds. But thats just my personal opinion. and again second chances for them just means they will be back out there hurting more innocent precious gifts from GOD that needs protection..SHOOT THE BASTARDS.

2nd chance? If he was downloading pictures of YOUR child, you wouldn’t think he deserved a 2nd chance. If this was my son or family member, I’d be embarrassed as long as the day is long, but I’d want him to be treated as any other criminal. Just because he’d be “family” doesn’t mean he should be treated any differently. People that do this have something WRONG with them and need help that only jail time and counseling can provide and do NOT deserve a second chance. Those that are given a second chance are the one’s that end up being the ones that kill the Jessica Lundy’s of our neighborhoods.

To all that want to cast stones, all I can say is, I guess that I’d be the only one standing up for your loved one, if this were yours. So I will pray for each of you that you won’t have to experience this in your life. God allows Satan to put obstacles in life sometimes and it’s how we handle and overcome them that make a difference.

At the moment he has only been charged for pornography. And yes by Gods law he does.

May God forgive those who judge too quickly. This young man could be your son or family member. Everyone deserves a second chance. Instead of all the negativity, what he needs now more than anything is Prayer and God. God himself forgives us everyday. And for those that are Christians we are suppose to do the same. What would you say if this were your son. As wrong and sickening as this may seem to be, he is still my nephew. Don’t forget that God knows everything. Even when you try to hid your faults from him. So please be careful when you cast stones on others, when those stones could be cast on you just as easily. God Bless each and everyone of you.
