    @ mr brown- i agree with most of what you mentioned…just keep in mind that the president (all of them) can make laws by “executive order”…all on their own…of recent, was the one on welfare reform- allowing for less stringent requirements in order to collect welfare….then, there was the one on immigration (re: children brought her illegally), which i agree with actually….pres o has made 139 executive orders, thus far…all presidents do it….you can find more info about this on FACTCHECK.ORG……im kind of curious about what “lameduck” initiatives or pardons that he will squeek in, if (when) he is given his walking papers…5 more days!!.. the countdown continues… :)

    @Terrence Brown,

    I totally agree, so let’s vote the liberal democrats out and vote conservative republicans in. Mitt will need a help in the new congress.

    Seriously !!! People, the President of the United States is NOT that powerful. He doesn’t control every aspect of our government. Despite having our system of checks and balances, the Legislative Branch is the most powerful — the 535 men and women who work in the funny shaped building on Capitol Hill are the ones who propose and pass the laws by which we live. Even more importantly, they are the folks who control the government’s money — they create ways to generate funding (taxes) and determine how the money should be spent. The Legislature versus the President — 535 versus 1 — hmmm who is really in control?

    I’ve never early voted, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. Can you go to any early voting location or are each regular precincts assigned to an early voting location?
