Molino Woman Killed In Pace Crash

October 21, 2012

A Pace woman was killed in a four vehicle crash Sunday morning near Pace.

The Florida Highway Patrol said 49-year old Angela Long of Molino was turning on a green traffic signal from Woodbine Road to Highway 90 in Pace when her 2008 Ford Explorer was struck by a 2012 Ford F250 driven by 46-year old Parham Booker of Pace. Long was pronounced deceased as a result of the 9:54 a.m. crash.

Booker ran the traffic signal at the intersection and charges against Booker are pending, the FHP said.

Booker’s pickup then struck two other vehicles, causing minor injuries to one person.

Not even a ticket for running a red light? I think I will move to that area because you can get away with just about anything. Of course, it could be that an outsider would not have the same chance. Sometimes it is who you know.

Unfortunately there are no words that will make this tragedy any easier. This is a horrible accident that has taken the lives of 2 people, one will be buried Saturday and the other will carry this with him every day until the time he also meets his maker. Both where good people with caring families, who also have had their lives forever changed. The thing that I think is almost as sad is that due to the way things are today the driver cannot even apologize and tell her family how sorry he is, that this was a horrible accident. Instead he has to quietly constantly pray for this family and forgiveness, he even goes to the scene and cries & prays. The bible teaches us that we are to forgive, I doubt this is possible for your family & friends right now, I hope one day you can. I was not the driver, but I know him & he is a good man who made a bad mistake. Prayers and deepest condolences to your family.

That is horrible. You figure with all the road you have to stop approaching that light people would pay more attention to everything around them and not what they have going on inside their own vehicles.

I’m sure the state already knows that a check of the ECM will tell them if he accelerated to “try” to beat the light.. It sure seems like yellow means floor it to way too many drivers on the road now days.. A careless driving citation is only $166. even if you kill a family while on your cell phone…
