Jackie is right. They are paid by the load. Unfortunately this puts them and other drivers in jeopardy of an accident. These truckers are trying to get to their destination as quickly as possible and lack attention to safety in most cases. I understand this is their means of supporting themselves or family so I am not knocking them. I just feel like they should slow down and pay attention to their surroundings.
Log truck & dump truck drivers are paid by the loads delivered per day,or tonnage hauled daily, therefore they’re always in a rush to haul more.As speed goes up accidents increase.
There have been alot of accidents with these big trucks lately, either they are not trainning drivers well or something is wronge with the trucks. There seem to have been alot of roll overs and lost controll accidents with 18 wheelers not only here.
