Missing Children’s Day: Search Continues In North Escambia Case
September 10, 2012
A Tate High School student last seen 11 years ago in North Escambia was among those remembered Monday on the 14th annual Florida Missing Children’s Day.
Danielle Arion Bell, 14, was last seen at a party in September 2001 in the 500 block of Cedar Tree Lane, between Highway 29 and Highway 95A in Cantonment.
Witnesses told authorities that Bell left a party with a man that was in his mid-twenties at the time. Escambia County deputies later questioned that man and searched his home, but he was never charged in connection with the case.
During the summer of 2007, Alfredo Gomez Sanchez, Jr. was charged with providing law enforcement with false information about his whereabouts at the time Bell disappeared. He was not implicated in her disappearance.
In October 2010, the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Cold Case Unit served a search warrant at the home. As part of that search warrant, a septic tank behind the residence was pumped out, and dogs from Escambia County Search and Rescue were also used to search the area. Investigators said nothing was found, and they would not say what new information might have led to the search.
According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Danielle has a scar on her right forearm and blue eyes. She had brown hair at the time of her disappearance. She would now be 24 years old. Danielle, whose nickname was “Dani”, was a member of the Tate Aggies cheerleading squad. The popular teen enjoyed dancing and drawing.
Anyone with information about Bell is asked to call the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit at (850) 436-9580 or Crime Stoppers at (850) 433-STOP.

I was at the FDLE Missing Childrens Day Ceremony on Monday September 10..I knew Danielle personally.i thought about her and saw her picture there..She lived next door us when she was young. She an Matt came over often to play with my children. The day they were to move to the cantoment area they came over to say goodbye…She left something at my house that day..Something very special to her…Her mom was going to come by and get it the next time she was in this area.but never made it by here.Well i still have it and if anyone knows how to reach Danielle’s mother or Matt..I would bet her mom would love to have it ..it would be my pleasure to return this LITTLE FOOT to her loved ones..i kept it all these years stored in the attic with some of my chilrens things and found it a few years back…
Missing you everyday danielle. I always wonder what happened and why someone would want to take your life at such a young age. you didnt even get a chance to live it. I hope one day and hopefully soon they find you and you can be put to peace and us family and friends can have closure, and the person/people who are responsible can pay the price.its not fair they are living their lives free and open in society . they should be behind bars. i hope one day you get the justice and the peace you deserve. ill be praying for this for you. I cant believe it has been so long and no one has come forward. I am a firm believer this town is too small for people not to know anything. So if you know something and this was you, wouldn’t you want your family and friends to have closure and you to be put to peace? I hope one day someone gets the courage and the heart to come forward.
has any one looked in that big pond inthe wooded area on cedar park dr..look at aerial map..just wunderin
The TRUTH will set you free…… Somebody knows what happened to this young lady.
I wish this could end for her parents sake! Hard to believe that no one saw anything the night she disappeared OR that no evidence has shown up in all these years. I pray one day soon, her parents will find out what really happened to her.
i wish for matt and all the other loved ones there could be some closure for them …
Everyone misses you a ton.. I pray for closer very soon for all friends and family..
