Yes, it is free! I just called them a few minutes ago! But I don’t know if the food and stuff is free or not..

Just to throw this out there: I am fairly certain (maybe call just to make 100% sure) The Pensacola Hunter Jumper Show is FREE for spectators.

As a matter of fact, most of the events (at least the horse shows) held at the Equestrian Center are free to the public to just come and watch and can make for some nice free entertainment. The concession stand usually has good food, too. The events that usually require admission are rodeos, BeulahFest, concerts, and I believe a very small fee for those coming to watch dog agility events/shows. The indoor arena, where most events are held, is nice and shady, breezy, and provides pretty decent seating, even in the hot summer months.

As a former rider who showed for over 20 years, I’d much rather be IN the arena, but spectator etiquette just calls for not being too loud, climbing on or sitting too close to the fences, but other than that, enjoy yourselves. Personally, our horses were well-trained enough not to spook at silly children, balloons, loud noises, or other stuff that non-horsey spectators might do, and if they did, I would feel personally responsible, but if you choose to watch, just remember horses are animals with a strong flight response so move quietly and predictably so the exhibitors can show their horses to their best.
