Gas Prices At Near Record High For The Month Of September
September 18, 2012
Gas prices continue their upward spiral at near-record highs for the month of September. The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded in Escambia County was $3.70 Monday, compared to $3.53 one year ago.
“The national average continues to hover near its highest ever September level,” said GasBuddy.com Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan. “As we push deeper into September, the more optimistic I am that these high prices will begin to come down slightly, but … I’m a bit concerned that prices won’t moderate as much as previously expected as the dollar weakens, leading me to believe 2012 will have featured the highest yearly average ever.”

Sales tax doesn’t apply to gas.
Atmore has highest gas prices around. City council voted a tax hike with no public input back in the spring….yet the current regime went back into power…buy gas elsewhere people.
Don’t worry, the prices will come down in time for the Presidential election in November.
REGARDING:
“cattle should eat grass. If you don’t feed them corn then they won’t be full of artery clogging cholesterol.”
Actually, it’s not so much the corn as the fact that we like tender meat. Feeding them corn lets them stay in one place and keeps the muscles more tender and tastier.
To REALLY avoid the bad products in cattle, eat more goat.
‘Scuse me, I meant eat more tofu.
David for less hamburger competition
awful prices in flomaton. 26 cents a gallon cheaper at wal mart in brewton. its worth the drive.
Bill,
I was thinking the same thing about natural gas. I believe a natural gas station is being built on Pine Forest. Maybe if it’s successful, we’ll see more of them.
Thanks for clearing that up Bill, we can’t have our dinner dying before we grill them. Natural gas is a cheaper, cleaner fuel.
I agree, get rid of ethanol but cattle should eat grass. If you don’t feed them corn then they won’t be full of artery clogging cholesterol.
Why are prices varying between $3.78 and $3.63? It looks like a good time to convert to natural gas. Time for natural gas service stations.
I agree gas prices are high, but it’s not even 100% gas. Get rid of ethanol and other concoctions, then maybe our grocery bills might come down a little.
Oil is for gas, corn is for cattle.
This is just upsetting to look at. Im so tired of gas being so high. Its just getting old
