Flomaton Celebrating Railroad Junction Day Today

Flomaton is celebrating  Railroad Junction Day today with a wide variety of free activities, demonstrations and entertainment  until 4 p.m.

Events are centered around downtown Flomaton. Over 30 vendors are taking part. There will also be a classic car show, historical talks at the library, model trains in the community center and much more.

The schedule of events is as follows:

9:00-4:00 — Turtle Point Science Center Open with Birds of Prey Show 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.

9:00-4:00 — Flomaton Public Library Open – 50th Anniversary Celebration with refreshments and historical lectures by Jerry Fisher at 10:00 a.m. and Jerry Simmons at 1:00 p.m.

9:00-4:00 — Open House At Railroad Museum, Caboose, & Log Cabin

9:00-4:00 — Model Train Display at the Community Center

9:00-4:00 — Food Vendors, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Health Fair Vendors with blood pressure checks and health information, & CSX “Operation Life Saver”

9:00-4:00 — Classic Cars And Motorcycles at the Old Theater Parking Lot

9:30-10:00 — Chloe Shannell entertaining at the Gazebo

9:30, 10:30, 11:30, & 12:30 — Safety Demonstration by Southern Pine Elec. Co-op

10:00-10:30 — Theresa Bolton Brown at the Gazebo

10:00 — Jaws Of Life Demonstration by Flomaton Volunteer Fire Department

10:00 — Children’s Parade Line-Up at Flomaton Methodist Church parking lot

10:00 — Northwest Fla Bloodmobile (Auburn/Alabama Challenge) behind the Library

10:30-11:00 — Revelation Missionary Baptist Church Choir at the Gazebo

11:00-11:45 — Gospel Melodies at the Gazebo

12:00-12:30 — LEBC Youth Praise Band at the Gazebo

12:30-1:00 — Bethel A. F. & M. Church Choir at the Gazebo

1:00-1:45 — The Hendersons at the Gazebo

2:00 — Drawings for prizes

2:00-2:45 — Damascus & Fannie Baptist Church Choirs at the Gazebo

3:00-3:45 — “Elvis” at the Gazebo
