Deputy’s Foot Run Over

An Escambia County Sheriff’s deputy’s foot was run over Friday night as he attempted to take suspects into custody on outstanding warrants.

The incident happened on West State Street in West Pensacola. Three suspects took off after running over the deputy’s foot, with a brief chase ending near West Fairfield Drive.

The deputy, whose name has not been released, was not seriously injured and was able to drive himself to the hospital. Three suspects were taken into custody; their names also have not been released.

    Good job Deputy, we hope you get well soon. To all the local news outlets, please specify where all incidents occur. Such as the East side, Northeast side, North side, South side etc. We are tired of being led to the inexorably assinine belief that all crime in this county is on the “West side”.

    I’ve had my toes and top portion of my foot run over by a car when I was 12. I screamed preparing for the worse, but nothing happened. lol Feet are flat/toes move and kind of disperse the weight. I had no injury.

    If he/she had a steel toe boot that could be bad!! Thanks for you service deputy, make a speedy recovery if you were injured.
