August 25, 2012
One person was injured in a single motorcycle accident Saturday morning on Highway 97 in Walnut Hill.
The accident happened about 10:15 a.m. just north of Tungoil Road. The driver of an antique Harley apparently lost control, ran off the roadway and was ejected as the motorcycle flipped end over end into a ditch.
The driver was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola by LifeFlight with non-life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The Walnut Hill and Molino Stations of Escambia Fire Rescue, Atmore Ambulance and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the crash.

I want to thank everyone that helped me yesterday. I am sorry if i did or said anything disrespectful to anyone. But i want to thank everyone for their help and support. I was really out of it for awhile and THANKS ALOT
Sorry William, computer didn’t update and just saw Joe I’s post.
Very thankful you are ok. We sure prayed for you. Did you break any bones in your face? Because Danny used my phone to call everyone, we ended up talking to your Dad once you were on the way to the hospital. Sure hope everyone is recovering. Our church is having a ride in October. We’d love it if you and Danny could come. Call and leave a message if you want more info. Take care! 850-587-5029.
>>William, have you heard anything further on how this guy is doing??
In the comment down two from this one, he says he’s fine.
William, have you heard anything further on how this guy is doing??
Thanks to both of you! I am the rider of the bike and besides a lot of road rash and aches and pains, I will be fine. PS Watch for ruts in the road and ride safe.
Sure hope the guy is doing well. My husband and I arrived right after the accident. Praying he is feeling better tonight. Praying too for his brother and the rest of his family.
I hope this rider is or will be ok. sounds like a bad accident.
