Well Sane American…While the Sheriff may not be able to stop a crime, he should be figuring out how to close more than 20.1% of the crimes committed in Escambia County! If you cannot solve but 1 out of 5 crimes, you are leaving a lot of Thugs on the street….

Actually Trey, there’s nothing any sheriff can do to stop this from happening. By definition, law enfocement is a reactionary, not proactive. You can’t stop a crime from being committed unless you know about it before it happens. The actual problem lies within the prosecutors office. They give plea deals just to get that guilty verdict to make their record look better. Thats what helps them move up to an office like Attorney General of the state.

@ trey, Sir, I humbly submit that your intellect is comparable to a bag of hammers. What can the Sheriff do when our society pays for and rewards bad behavior? When someone is born for the sole reason of increasing the number of dollars granted to them by a warped welfare system, what can you expect? All the sheriff’s department can do is clean up the mess. These feral animals ride around in drug money bought hoopties with stolen guns and crack and do their best imitation of their favorite cRap stars and masquerade as humans.

It’s terrible when we’re not safe in our own homes. We need high privacy fences in front of our houses now…..
