August 30, 2012
When the new Molino Branch Library opens this fall, there will be numerous additional items on the shelves, thanks to some “friends”.
The Friends of the Pensacola Public Library has approved a gift of $10,000 to the Molino Branch Library’s book budget, according to Friends member Bette Hooton. An October opening is being targeted for the library.
The former Molino School on Highway 95A is being converted into a 15,600 square foot library, community center and museum.
The Friends of the Library in a non-profit group with the primary mission of supporting the West Florida Library system. Funding comes primarily from membership and book sales.

These people who donate to libraries are wonderful! When this library is up and going we hope to have more of people from the “north end” giving books to be sold for the library. We also hope more people will join this group.
A big THANK YOU to the Friends of the Library. This will be a bonus to the new library.
The library will be a wonderful facility for the community.
So glad they have been able to establish it. Thanks to all involved in the process.
This is going to be so nice! This building was just going to waste and now look at what a wonderful addition it will be to the community!
