July 28, 2012

Six women were arrested Friday during an undercover prostitution sting by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

The women were picked up by Sheriff’s investigators that normally work desk jobs but were out Friday as part of the operation designed to put more deputies on the streets.

Arrested on prostitution charges were:

  • Dana Lynn Douglas, 48
  • Tina Pauline Rahn, 42
  • Shana Marie Ulmer, 40
  • Megan Christina  Brown, 23
  • Sondra Elaine Thomas, 46
  • Jessica Tera Tipton, 24

Ulmer was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, and Tipton was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and resisting.

All six remained in the Escambia County Jail Friday night with bond set from $500 to $1,500.

It has been my experience during an election year…that we can see many problems get solved and pet projects completed….take a deep ditch …that was a danger waiting…did everything but beg.. okay, so we did beg…but the deep ditch sat there for three more years…and we sat on pins and neddles and the telephone…trying to get someone to do something about it before someone got hurt…kids rode 4 wheelers and played around it everyday..kids never see the danger..they are kids and love to play….so bless my soul…election year rolled around…and we decided to play our get out of the ditch free card….we invited many that we had been on the phone with…and many that were looking to take their phone and office away from them… to take a look at our problem and solve it …before you know it …work was started on the ditch and our problem was solved….the only problem now was the person that made this happen… lost his bid for office…thats one of the pit falls of politics…sometime you dig a ditch…some time you cover one up…

i’m thinking if you looked back at these peoples early lives you would find the root cause for all their problems.

I seem to remember candidate David Morgan criticizing then Sheriff Ron McNesby for doing this same thing close to election time.

The youngest one looks the most scared and desperate..it is good most if the comments on here are varing..we must pray for them and yes..the police department that would rather throw stones at these women by posting picks rayher than arresting the guys running the show..

Does anyone see loneliness, sadness, anger, hurt, confusion, desperation and hopelessness on these faces? Or just an opportunity to politicize, criticize, and make hateful remarks. People are not what they do. They are all individuals, even when doing dastardly deeds. I doubt they are happy in what they do. They sure do not look happy to me. I hope someone tells them about Teen Challenge. It is not just for teens anymore, and they have great results. Most are not there too long before their whole outlook and life is changed. Praying they find help.

The story is ‘easy pickings’ for derogatory comments,
but I wonder how many of us will read it and ask what
might be going on in these women’s lives that make
this seem like the best career choice for them>?

What happened? What makes this seem like the way
    to live?

Whatever you may be inclined to think, these are someones
daughters… Oh that the world were a better place for us all.

Something about the story makes me sad… hope that others
might be able to take a moment to say a prayer for these women
in the midst of the other comments.

    Name Required, for kindness…

Just in time for the election. You haven’t heard of any action with these ladies of the night and now so close to the election, here we go in Brownsville. Great job Sheriff. I hope none of them gave you more than a 50 dollar campaign contribution?

I would like to see their crack dealers and customers getting arrested too, these addicts don’t even have the money to make bail and they’re soft targets for the police. Note to morgan, put a little more effort into your job..

No thanks “ladies” checked your record with clerk of court and from that would advise others to not ride in a vehicle with you either.
Sad your lives have come to this, maybe a chance to turn things around.

WOW! You have to be pretty desperate to actually pay money for that. And to risk jail, an STD, etc…
