Shots Fired During Armed Robbery

Shots were fired during an armed robbery Tuesday night in Escambia County.

The robbery was reported at 10:19 at the U Save Foods convenience store at 7144 Mobile Highway. Two males, both armed with firearms, entered the store and demanded money from the clerk.

After the clerk complied, deputies said one of the suspects fire a shot inside the store, and then both suspects ran outside. Once outside the store, one of the suspects fire another shot. No one was hit by either gunshot.

The two suspects then fled the scene in a vehicle.

Further details, including any description of the vehicle or the suspects, were not released by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

    I am sorry to hear that this happen to one of the stores in the neighborhood. I am glad to know that ken and his employees are all safe? I am the thrifty nickel paper delivery lady and I enjoy seeing ken And his emoployees on Thursdays. Prayers is with you all.

    This store is in my part of the County, right in the heart of downtown Klondike. I hope Ken, the owner, and his people are not too traumatized. I hope as well that the robbers are not neighborhood people, it would be a shame as Ken has been good to everyone I know there.
