Flomaton, Century Celebrate The 4th With Fireworks (With Gallery)

July 4, 2012

The area’s fireworks Fourth of July demonstrations got underway Tuesday night at Showalter Park in Century.

Last year, both towns sponsored a fireworks show at Hurricane Park in Flomaton. Century agreed to help pay for the show only if the town’s alternated being the host for the event each year — the event will return to Flomaton next year.

It does not matter what day of the year, if your feeling patriotic just point your cannon to the sky.

Be mindful of the hour and surrondings.

Wow, hate I mssed it. I live blocks from the park but did not know about it. I heard them. A banner or something on the hwy would have let more people know. I went to NE.com to get the sites for local “4th” fireworks and was surprised to learn ours was on the 3rd. Seriously, why the 3rd?

Why was it on the 3rd? Just wondering…
