Cantonment Man Charged In Nightclub Stabbings

July 22, 2012

A Cantonment man has been charged with stabbing multiple people at a nightclub back in May.

Samuel Ransome Pert III, 26, was arrested on an outstanding aggravated battery warrant. He was held in the Escambia County Jail early Sunday without bond.

Deputies said he allegedly cut two people during a scuffle back on May 30 at the Live Night Club on Pensacola Boulevard at Nine Mile road. Only one of the people stabbed decided to press charges.

    Yes I still stand by him being a great guy. He was not the only person involved in the fight that night. There were multiple people involved. Many with weapons. Many people were hurt. There should be more people that are being charged. But because he is the only one that people knew his name, he’s being singled out. Idk I think if you are going to charge someone…charge everyone involved. And why wasn’t ECSD there that night all night? They didn’t arrive til after 2.

    REGARDING:
    “Sam is a great person…just remember he’s been charged…but hasn’t been found guilty.”

    He’s been found guilty of a number of other felonies and misdemeanors, even admitted to them.

    Let’s go further. Whether he is found guilty of stabbing all these people or not, if he DID stab them, he is not a great person. Maybe not even a fair-to-middling person.

    Let’s look at it from the other direction: If he did not stab people in a bar fight or elsewhere but was found guilty by a bad jury, wouldn’t he still be a so-so person? (Like I said, it’s too late to be a great person.)

    The findings of the jury are for the legal system to decide what to do with people accused of crimes, not to decide whether or not they are great people or not. (Although, that might suggest the answer to that question too, since you are what you do and if you go around committing crimes, you ARE a criminal.)

    David wondering how SRP I
    and SRP II feel about all this

    Sam is a great person…just remember he’s been charged…but hasn’t been found guilty. So until he is in a court of law…and I’m more than happy to stand by him as a friend…

    @ROLLTIDEBBAY

    Whats wierd is the fact that you claim this nut to be your ex. Im glad he’s your ex, but you dont need to claim any association to him. He will really enjoy his new club membership @ DOC.

    Live nightclub doesn’t sound like a very safe place to go. I don’t got to bars or clubs, but I’d definitely avoid that place.
