I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. He saved my Mother’s life when I was 13 years old. He was working for Escambia EMS , and she was involved in a horrific car accident. Thanks to him , she lived another 40 years. He was a wonderful man and even though we didn’t keep in touch , I never forgot him!! RIP Bill , heaven has received a wonderful angel!!

Thank you Mr. Carter, & Mr. Ramey for your kind words for Bill. Anyone that really took the time to get to know Bill, liked him. He was real and was just Bill. Had a heart of gold, would help you if he could. I am so sorry that someone dropped the ball, and the information didn’t get in the paper in time for y’all, and many others, to attend his service. Bill’s family, including me would have loved for more of Bill’s old friends to have shared that time with us. It was a beautiful service, the man that Bill had asked to preach his service, was Eric Jerkins, from Brewton, Al., but who is the Associate Pastor at Zion chapel, in Century. Bill had grown close to Eric, and he knew that Eric would minister to his family like no one else could. Again, that you so much for sharing your thought with us all. Bill is smiling down from Heaven saying, “well my goodness, I did touch many lives”. We miss you so much Bill!

So sorry to hear this, especially after the service has started. I first met Bill through Ensley Fire Department, then worked with him at Escambia EMS. He enjoyed life to the fullest, and was a huge influence on me both as a firefighter and EMT. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Sorry Im reading this just now after the funeral has started. May Bill rest in peace and may God Bless his family. Bill was a big part of my early adulthood and there some 30 years ago when I became a firefighter. He helped teach me to be fearless and survive. Thanks Bill.
