Three teens have been arrested in connection with a string of about 40 car burglaries this week in the area of Johnson Avenue and Burgess Road.

All three suspects were recently arrested on unrelated charges and were subsequently identified through fingerprints and interviews conducted by investigators, according to Sgt. Ted Roy, spokesperson for the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspects, 16-year old Broderick D. Williams 16,  17-year old Kenneth C. Mason, and 15-year old Marquis D. Bryant, all of Pensacola, are facing multiple vehicle burglary charges and vehicle theft charges stemming from the burglary spree.

The investigation is ongoing and leads are being developed on other suspects, Roy said.

    REGARDING:
“I like the way they handle thieves overseas…….get caught stealing and get your hand cut off”

    Not me.

I believe the Constitution is reasonable when it forbids excessive punishment. I like the biblical concept of paying back a multiple of the value of the thing stolen, not because I’m trying to force people to live under Judaic law, but because it seems reasonable and should undo the damage done without populating the country with one-handed people.

However, If you REALLY like the system of government where such things are done, you are free to go to those countries if they will let you in. The only ones I can think of who do such things are Islamic and you might not like some other parts of their justice system, especially if you are a woman or non Muslim, but maybe you would.
(Think Syria, Libya, Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other vacation spots.)

    David for justice
    and agreeing ME was right

Well, Well, Well. I think I posted earlier this week that as soon as school lets out this happens every year. And then everyone said oh this isnt teen ager’s and dont blame the kids.. Yadda Yadda Yadda. Well….. Told Ya so. I was speaking from experience folks. I wasnt just on here rambling. My vehicles have been broken into twice one of those times i had a deer trail cam set up and it spooked them and i got a side shot picture of kid running away. Then the following year i was taking my trash out to the road and noticed two teenager’s walking at the end of my street and saw them go in two open garages and when they came out of the second one they noticed me and ran for the hill’s. So yes teenagers do steal and break into cars. Are all car break ins done by teens? NO. Im just saying when school lets out every year this happens.

I’m sure they were all laughs as they broke into people’s cars and stole their things…and I’m sure they cried like babies when they were arrested.

I hope that some judge does not go to easy on these guys. They need enough punishment to make them not want to do this again AND lots of real supervision since the parents weren’t giving much.

Were the parents just not paying any attention or don’t they care? It seems unlikely the kids were getting staying out most of the night – well into the morning over and over again without anyone knowing.

Good work on the part of the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.

    15, 16, and 17.
Why do so many people let their teens run the streets and obviously they
have no clue where they are or what they are doing? The only thing that
makes me sadder is to see girls running the streets. That is all I have to
say about this miserable mess and what American Children are doing
with their time on this earth.
